PC government invests in Community development IN RIVER EAST
Gateway Recreation Centre receives funding to replace soccer turf
Cathy Cox, MLA for River East, today announced that the Manitoba government is investing $45,149 for a replacement of the indoor soccer turf at Gateway Recreation Centre.
“I am absolutely thrilled that our government is making this very important investment in the River East constituency,” said Cox. “Gateway Recreation Centre is the heart of our community. My children played soccer at Gateway, so I know how much this facility means to families in River East. I am so happy to see our government supporting this worthwhile project.”
Cox was joined by Municipal Relations Minister Jeff Wharton, James Teitsma, MLA for Radisson, Andrew Micklefield, MLA for Rossmere, and Tammy Harper, president of Gateway Recreation Centre, at Gateway’s indoor soccer pitch to announce this funding.
“On behalf of our board and staff, I want to thank the provincial government for their generous support to help make Gateway Recreation Center an amazing community hub for the residents of North Kildonan and beyond,” said Harper.
This funding is part of a major investment in programs that support important community development projects across Manitoba.
